IV Wellness Therapy delivers fluids through a tiny needle right into the bloodstream. Since this bypasses the digestive system, nutrients are absorbed faster and at higher concentrations than they would be otherwise. This allows you to experience their effects within minutes!
IV Wellness Therapy is not a new concept. IV Wellness Therapy has been in existence since 1950’s when a physician in Baltimore, Maryland named Dr. John Myers coined the “Myers Cocktail” or “banana bag”, a concoction of Vitamin C, B Vitamins, Magnesium + Calcium, which is still used to this day in hospitals and health clinics across the country.
An intramuscular (IM) injection is a quick and easy way to get the nutrients you need for your body to feel its best. We inject the nutrients into a large muscle where they are absorbed into your bloodstream.
IV + IM Wellness Therapies are not only about recovering from the flu, a cold, or trying to salvage your day from a night of overindulgence. It’s about getting back to the best version of you, doing the things you love on your days off and after work, and not wasting your precious time feeling burned out, depleted, and plagued by chronic fatigue. Our Elevated lifestyle at 6,000 feet above sea level, can also come with symptoms of altitude sickness, which can significantly impact you, as well as your family and friends visiting from lower climates.
Benefits of IV therapy as compared to oral supplements include:
Correction of vitamin deficiencies + imbalances
Higher bioavailability (as compared to oral vitamin supplementation)
Direct delivery of nutrients
Higher concentration of vitamins absorbed
Optimal dosing (the body will take what it needs)
Quicker and more efficient than oral supplementation
Saline is the perfect carrier for these ingredients because it has the same osmolarity as the plasma in our cells, allowing for efficient cellular absorption from your bloodstream. With IV therapy drips, the IV hydrates, replenishes and optimizes to the maximum benefit possible from a vitamin infusion.
We offer a variety of Elevated Wellness IV drips to help you give your immune system a boost, quickly recover from a hangover, promote diversity in the gut’s microbiome, fight altitude sickness and fatigue, accelerate athletic recovery and more. Our menu of IV therapy services has been crafted by our functional health experts and clinical director.
This well established delivery method uses saline as a carrier and is customized to address and combat:
Cold + flu
nausea + vomiting
altitude sickness
Allergies
fatigue + poor sleep
hormonal imbalances
hangovers
food poisoning
migraines
morning sickness
acute illness + infection

Prior to coming in for your first IV treatment we recommend you hydrate, eat, and dress comfortably. During your appointment, you’re invited to relax with an eye mask, or you can bring a book or tablet to read or work during your time with us.
At your initial visit we will review your general health history as well as specific goals you have from IV and IM therapy. Our experienced medical professionals will devise a treatment plan for your initial visit as well as additional modalities which could help Elevate your wellness to your personal goals. You will have all the time you need to ask questions and go over the details and what to expect following your treatment.
Following your medical history our provider will perform a short medical exam and check your vital signs. We will then ensure you are comfortable in one of our lounge chairs. We have blankets, heating pads, hot or cold beverages, and distraction tools available to help with your comfort and minimize any anxiety you may be having as we begin the IV process. A tight rubber band called a tourniquet is placed on your upper arm so we can find a suitable vein for the IV. The skin is prepped, and your nurse will use a tiny needle to insert a catheter into your arm, which is connected to tubing allowing the IV drip to flow. You may feel a small pinch, but it subsides momentarily. Our nurses have years of experience and are trained to insert IVs with minimal discomfort. After the initial insertion, the needle is thrown away and all that remains is a flexible catheter in your arm, which means you can move your arm as much as you want while receiving treatment. Once the IV catheter is in place it is secured with tape and your infusion is ready to begin. You can now sit back and take this time to relax and unwind, or use the WiFi to continue getting your life taken care of! You will be monitored by our nurses until the infusion is complete.
Most of our infusions take one hour from start to finish. Infusions such as NAD+ and High-Dose Vitamin C can take up to three hours, but don’t worry – we plan for that! Every infusion can be adjusted based on your individual comfort and needs. We also have a private room available if you’d be more comfortable in your own space. When your infusion is complete, the tape and IV catheter will be removed and a gauze compression bandage will be placed over the IV site to keep it clean and minimize bleeding. You may take off your bandage 30 minutes following your appointment. Your body may feel the effects within minutes, while optimal effects are usually experienced 24-48 hours post treatment. After the infusion, you may notice feelings of relaxation, sustained energy, improved mental focus, and overall total hydration. Additionally, you may taste the vitamins in your mouth (they taste the way vitamins smell!) and you may notice your urine is a little more yellow than normal (this lets you know your body got what it needed). Some people notice redness or bruising at the IV site – this is expected and will go away. Some infusions have infusion-specific expectations; these will be discussed with you at the time of treatment. Some of our treatments are designed for long term benefits (cold + flu defense, athletic preparation + muscle recovery, etc.) which don’t necessarily give an immediate boost, but can be appreciated with activity and maintenance infusions over time.
Our expert nurses make this process as easy as possible, but nothing is without risks. Side effects with IV therapy can include: infection at the injection site, bruising, or inflammation in the veins. We do a thorough intake exam, including vital signs, to ensure we have real-time information to establish the best and safest treatment for you. IV therapy is great for treatment of acute symptoms as well as an excellent addition to a long-term health regimen.
If an IM therapy is in your treatment plan we will begin your appointment with a thorough medical history, physical exam, and check your vital signs. Our nurse uses a small needle to inject the nutrients into a large muscle (deltoid, glute, or quadriceps). We cover the injection spot with a band-aid and you’re off to enjoy the benefits. You may notice some soreness and light bruising at the injection site for a couple days after treatment. While it isn’t necessary, you can gently massage the site to alleviate any soreness you may feel. Combinations of IM injections may be administered simultaneously -, however they may be given as two separate injections in different locations on your body. We can combine some nutrients, but some are required to be given independently. Ask your nurse if this is a good fit for your situation.
Your safety is our priority, and therefore we reserve the right to defer treatment if there are health concerns. Our treatments are elective, so it’s not a requirement to have a doctor’s note prior to treatment, however we always encourage collaborative care and consultations with your primary care provider as well as our clinical director if you have any questions. While many of our clients are athletes, if you are sponsored or have concerns we advise that you check with your coach, sponsor, or governing body before treatment.
IV infusions and IM injections are fantastic options for getting your essential vitamins and minerals delivered efficiently.
