The first phase of your NAD+ infusions will involve loading doses over four weekly treatments. After your loading doses, you’ll receive monthly maintenance treatments of NAD+.
Prior to coming in for your first NAD+ IV treatment we recommend you hydrate and dress comfortably. Please eat a light meal 90 minutes before your treatment; some people may experience nausea during the infusion. We will review your health history as well as specific goals you have for your NAD+ infusions. Our experienced medical professionals will devise a treatment plan for your initial visit and recommend additional modalities that could elevate your wellness goals. You will have all the time you need to ask questions, review the details of the procedure, and what to expect following your treatment.
Our provider will perform a short medical exam and check your vital signs. We will then ensure you are comfortable in one of our lounge chairs (during your first NAD+ infusion, you’ll have a space in our private IV room and a nurse one-on-one with you the whole time). You’re invited to relax with an eye mask, or you can bring a book or tablet to read or work during your time with us. Blankets, heating pads, hot or cold beverages, and distraction are tools available to minimize any anxiety you may be having as we begin the IV process.
Our IV experts have years of hospital based experience and muscle memory to make this process effortless. A rubber band called a tourniquet will be placed on your upper arm so we can find a suitable vein for the IV. After the skin is cleansed and prepped, a tiny needle is used to insert a catheter into your arm and connected to tubing that allows the IV to flow. You may feel a small pinch, but it subsides momentarily. The needle is thrown away and a flexible catheter remains, meaning you can move your arm as much as you want while receiving treatment. The catheter is secured with tape and you can sit back and take time to relax, unwind, or use our WiFi to make sure life doesn’t miss a beat! NAD+ IV infusions can take up to three hours, but don’t worry – we plan for that! Every NAD+ IV can be adjusted based on your individual comfort and needs. When your infusion is complete, the tape and IV catheter will be removed and a gauze compression bandage will be placed over the IV site to keep it clean and minimize bleeding. You may take off your bandage 30 minutes following your appointment. After the infusion, you may notice feelings of sustained energy, improved mental focus, and overall total hydration. Some people notice redness or bruising at the IV site – this is expected and will go away.
Similar to NAD+ infusion therapy, those interested in preventative health modalities and general wellness may be good candidates for NAD+ IM injections. Compared to NAD+ infusions, NAD+ IM injections will increase your NAD+ levels and optimize the energetic capacity of your cells gradually. You’ll receive 125mg NAD+ injections weekly for a month, with each appointment only taking about 15 minutes. For an extra energy punch, spend some time in our full-body cryotherapy chamber before your injection!
Our nurses make this process as easy as possible, but nothing is without risk. Side effects with NAD+IV or NAD+IM can include: Infection at the injection site, bruising, and inflammation in the veins. We do a thorough intake exam, including vital signs, to ensure we have real-time information to ensure the safest experience possible. We reserve the right to defer treatment if there are health concerns. This treatment is elective, so a doctor’s note is not required prior to treatment, however we always encourage collaborative care and consultations with your primary care provider if you have any questions.
