Starting in our mid-thirties, we begin to lose approximately a teaspoon of volume in our face every year. This loss includes bone, muscle, and fat, as well as a decrease in collagen production. To put it in perspective, a teaspoon of volume equals about five syringes of filler! This volume loss leads to hollowing and contour changes in areas such as the cheeks, under eyes, temples, and around the mouth. It also contributes to facial laxity in the lower face and jawline, along with aging of the lip region.
Anyone noticing volume loss and hollowing in their mid-face/cheek region and under their eyes is an ideal candidate for this treatment. When our providers conduct a new patient assessment, they frequently recommend our Signature Cheek and Under Eye Treatment. This is because most individuals over 30 can benefit from the added volume and support it provides.
By restoring volume in these key areas, we achieve a refreshed, natural, and lifted appearance. Typically, full correction requires about two sessions. In the first session, we usually administer one syringe of mid-face/cheek filler per side and half a syringe of under-eye filler per side, totaling three syringes. After 3-4 weeks, we conduct a follow-up visit to determine if additional product is needed. The second session typically involves one to two more syringes to achieve the desired volume.
Once we achieve full correction, most patients return every 9-12 months to maintain their refreshed look. Regular maintenance helps ensure that you continue to look and feel your best.
