Facial treatments involve a number of relaxing and rejuvenating processes, including exfoliation, extraction, and massage. Your advanced medical esthetician will target either your face, neck, chest or back, depending on your specific needs.
After your facial, you can expect minor redness that should subside in about a day. If you received an acne facial, it may take a few extra days to heal, as extractions of clogged pores are typically performed during the acne facial. You can expect to see results such as smaller pores, shinier and smoother skin, and a brighter complexion within a matter of days.

PRE-TREATMENT CARE
It's recommended to avoid sun exposure for 1 week prior to treatment and use SPF 30 daily to ensure coverage against UVB and UVA rays.
Do not use harsh exfoliants for 1 week prior to treatment.
Discontinue use of Tretinoin type products (Renova, Tretinoin, Retin A, Retin A Micro, Tri-Luma, Solage, etc.) at least 2 or 3 days prior to treatment.
Discontinue the use of Hydroquinone 2 or 3 days prior to treatment.
If you have a history of cold sores, consider beginning prophylactic treatment with Valtrex or similar no later than the day prior to treatment.
If you have a cystic or inflammatory acne breakout before your appointment, please let your provider know so adjustments can be made if necessary to avoid aggravating it.
Neuromodulators and fillers injected up to 2 weeks prior are not recommended.
Notify the center if you develop a cold sore, acne, open lesions in the area being treated, or experience any type of illness prior to your treatment.
POST-TREATMENT CARE
You may fully resume a normal skincare regimen 2 days after treatment. If skin still feels irritated, spot test your skincare products first.
Discontinue the use of harsh exfoliants for one week following.
Use sunscreen SPF 30 or higher daily and reapply as needed.
Makeup may be applied immediately post-treatment if it's 100% mineral Jane Iredale, Colorescience, Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics, etc.,) all other makeup products may be applied after 24 hours.
